Cuatro sigue en su afán de apostar por la ficción internacional y ha comprado los derechos de la primera temporada de Californication, la serie que ha devuelto a las pantallas a David Duchovny de una forma, digamos, bastante agradable.
Sinceramente, no sé como calificar esta noticia, si buena o mala. Por un lado tenemos que siempre es bueno que vengan series internacionales de calidad a España pero por otro lado, viendo como está comenzando a tratar Cuatro este tipo de series, véase el ejemplo de Weeds, pues no es tan bueno ya. Y es que Californication no es una serie corriente, está llena de sexo explícito, palabras irreverentes y mucho humor, por lo que no sé si tendría cabida en una posición de parrilla normal dentro de la programación de Cuatro. Lo cierto es que parece que Cuatro, al menos con sus últimas adquisiciones, quiere recuperar esa personalidad con la que nación, de ser una cadena diferente, activa y cercana al espectador. Al principio lo conseguí de cierta manera, pero la verdad es que con sus últimas decisiones (al menos en cuanto a series) está convirtiéndose en una cadena como el resto.
Al menos la serie ha sido renovada por una segunda temporada, así que tendremos vamos a tener Duchovny para rato. No sé si en Cuatro o solo en Showtime, pero al menos la tendremos.
